Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and communicative Business Data Analyst with strong expertise in SQL and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will anticipate the needs of clients/users and act as a key expert, ensuring business needs are met. This role involves analyzing data to identify the source of concerns, managing business expectations, and effectively communicating solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Identify the source of concerns by analyzing data and bringing clarity to data to show why results are as they appear.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage business expectations to ensure stakeholders are well-informed of progress and challenges.
  • Documentation: Document processes and procedures to contribute to the overall team knowledge base.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members to resolve complex issues, share knowledge, and provide support across departments.
  • Communication: Clearly explain the root cause of issues and potential solutions to users through effective verbal and written communication.
  • Analytical Thinking: Identify the root cause of issues, evaluate potential solutions, and implement appropriate fixes.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Interact with users in a professional and empathetic manner, managing frustrations and providing timely support.
  • Issue Resolution: Meticulously review user issues and ensure all aspects of a problem are addressed before closing a ticket.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize data analysis and querying tools like SQL Server Management Studio and HiveQL for MSaaS and BigData environments.
  • AWS Knowledge: Apply basic knowledge of AWS in relevant tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and resolve user issues related to Client Financial Data.
  • Provide guidance and support to users on how to utilize applications relevant to the Client Financial team.
  • Log, track, and prioritize user support requests through ticketing systems.
  • Contribute to and update internal knowledge bases with troubleshooting steps and best practices.
  • Provide basic training to users on ticketing software and any updates that are implemented.
  • Identify issues that require escalation to senior technical support teams when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management.
  • Ability to document processes and contribute to team knowledge bases.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage user frustrations professionally.
  • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio and HiveQL.
  • Basic knowledge of AWS.
