Mission

We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and flexible Business Controller to join our young, dynamic and collaborative Controlling team. In this role, you will be responsible for the financial controlling of multiple countries within Unifiedpost Group. You will directly report to the Group Controlling Manager and play a key role in supporting our IFRS compliance and audit readiness.

Responsibilities 

• Serve as a financial business partner to multiple budget owners, providing insights and guidance to support informed decision-making
• Monitor, analyse, and report the P&L performance of several countries, presenting your findings to budget owners on a monthly basis
• Deliver detailed and accurate short- and mid-term forecasts, directly contributing to the organisation’s financial planning and success
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall strategic plan
• Collaborate with stakeholders to produce relevant financial analyses that support business decisions
• Contribute to the development of a group reporting package for senior and C-level management
• Proactively challenge and advise the business on financial performance and cost efficiency
• Support the Controlling team in a variety of projects, including the implementation of new reporting tools (e.g., BI systems), project controlling, ad hoc reporting, and M&A initiatives

The ideal candidate would have:

• A Master’s degree in Economics, Finance or a related field
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in finance, such as audit, business controlling, or financial controlling
• Language skills: English speaking & writing skills are required; proficiency in Dutch and/or French is considered an asset
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work confidently with data, presenting financial information in a clear, concise, and value-driven manner
• A hands-on mindset with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
• A collaborative team player with strong communication skills
• Capable of working independently and autonomously when required
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• An affinity with the software industry, including development, licensing, and value-added financial solutions, is a plus
• Experience with ERP systems and/or BI tools is an advantage
