About the role

We are looking for a proactive and strategic Business Controller to join our Finance team and support the financial and operational success of our internal business units. In this role, you will act as a trusted financial partner to key stakeholders, providing insights that drive informed decision-making. You will play a pivotal role in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting to ensure our company operates efficiently and strategically.

Key Responsibilities

Financial business partnering

  • Act as a financial advisor to our internal business units (Consulting Services and our 2 software tools Binocs & Axon) and our Shared Services team, supporting them with data-driven insights and strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze financial performance, conduct variance and trend analyses, and provide actionable recommendations to optimize financial results and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to align financial objectives with business strategy and drive continuous improvement.

Budgeting, forecasting & reporting

  • Play a key role in the budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring accurate projections and scenario planning.
  • Develop and maintain KPI reporting dashboards to track financial and operational performance.
  • Provide financial reports and insights that enable leadership to take timely, informed actions.

Data integrity & process improvement

  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial and operational data for reporting and decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Support ERP and financial system improvements to increase automation and reporting capabilities.

Collaboration & stakeholder management

  • Work closely with your colleagues in the Finance Team and business unit leaders to ensure alignment on financial objectives and execution of business plans.
  • Provide guidance on financial controls, risk management, and compliance to ensure sound financial governance.

Job requirements

About You

Qualifications and skills:

  • Education
    • A master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience of a minimum of 3y to 7y in a similar financial or business partner role, preferably in controlling or controlling activities such as audit and M&A
  • Technical skills:
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems like NetSuite and tools like Anaplan are a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Other:
    • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
    • You like to work in a fast-paced environment; you have a growth mindset, a positive attitude, and an outstanding work ethic.

    • You show a willingness to work in a hybrid working model.
    • You have a valid driver’s license or will obtain this in the next 6 months.
