What You’ll Be Doing

The Business Analyst role is accountable for delivering requirements, analysis, processes, projects and assigned work packages from initiation through to execution and delivery, in support of CAMs strategic, Regulatory, and Maintain Operations objectives. In addition, the role will Support CIBC objectives by ensuring new/enhanced processes are effective, accurately documented, tested, understood, implemented and meet the scope, business objectives and benefits of Clients and Partners. The role will align and adhere to CIBC business analysis and project management methodologies. Examples of assigned work may include Strategic or Transformational initiatives, Regulatory/Compliance projects, process design or automation initiatives. Knowledge of collections systems or processes and 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst in a Financial Services or similar environment. This schedule is subjective to the projects assigned.

How You'll Succeed

  • Understanding and Documenting Requirements. Facilitate elicitation sessions with Business teams, Suppliers and Technology partners in order to identify and document Business Requirements aligned to the Project scope, Business objectives and benefits. Conduct Feasibility assessments to identify most optimum solutions and cost/benefit. Utilize standard Business Analysis methodologies to create Business Requirements artifacts and facilitate signoffs from stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Conducting process assessments. Apply Process design best practices to accurately document both Current and Future state processes and data flows. Perform ongoing reviews to identify issues early on and create efficient processes with a best-in-class client experience.
  • Communication. You’ll use your powers of communication and consultation to speak to requirements, issues, risks and solutions with influence. Your solid interpersonal skills are a must for collaborating with stakeholders, product owners, team members and/or external parties.
  • Leadership skills. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support your team to resolve problems as they arise. Lead and/or support People Change management activities, including applying best practices in assessing change and creating appropriate learning material or procedure updates.
  • Familiarity with Testing Methodologies. Co-ordinate user acceptance testing including creation of test cases, test data and execution of testing. Ensure test results are documented and approved by stakeholders.
