THE ROLE We are looking for a Business Analyst to strengthen its Professional Services department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing strategic business analysis to drive continuous improvement and innovation within our organization, while also overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects. We are seeking an effective BA with excellent interpersonal client-facing skills and strong stakeholders' management skills. RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into detailed functional specifications, and user stories. Conduct comprehensive business analysis to identify areas for process optimization, cost reduction, and revenue enhancement within the corrections industry. Serve as a liaison between stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and third-party vendors, to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables. Demonstrate analytical thinking and self-drive in problem-solving and decision-making processes. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies within the corrections sector to inform strategic decision-making and product development initiatives. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in addition preferably within the corrections industry or software development sector. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and vice versa. Expertise in producing documentation for client review and sign-off / acknowledgement. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Proficiency in business analysis and project management tools such as Confluence, JIRA and the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience working in an Agile development environment is highly desirable.
