Business Analyst - Lead Business Analyst

Responsibilities
· Lead the assessment of a complex, manual control environment encompassing over 500 controls, evaluating their effectiveness, viability, and alignment with organizational objectives.
· Develop strategies to automate as many controls as possible, maximizing efficiency and minimizing risk.
· Identify opportunities to improve control design and implementation, incorporating considerations for ongoing transformation and new controls.
· Analyze existing control documentation and processes to identify gaps and weaknesses.
· Develop detailed recommendations for automation, including technology solutions, implementation plans, and cost-benefit analyses.
· Collaborate with technology and business teams to implement automation solutions.
· Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of automated controls.
· Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
· Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant laws, rules, and regulations, as well as industry best practices for risk management and control design.
· Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. Document this clearly for audit trails.
Qualifications
· 5+ years of experience in risk management or a related field, with significant experience in assessing and improving control environments.
· Proven experience leading and managing complex control assessment projects.
· Deep understanding of control design principles and best practices, including automation opportunities.
· Strong experience in fraud and claims environments (highly preferred).
· Experience with various automation technologies (e.g., Robotic Process Automation, AI).
· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
