Job Details

Position Title: Business Analyst- Communications Specialist, Digital Student Experience

Status: FT Admin Temporary, until December 2025

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Faculty/Department: Information Technology Services

Campus/Location: North Campus; Hybrid model (a mix of home and in-office workdays)

Salary: $95,910.00; starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience.

About The Business Analyst- Communication Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Operations Analyst with a strong focus on communications and change management support to join our team.

This role will play a pivotal part in translating complex data into compelling executive presentations, managing the end-to-end process of executive communications, and supporting key product delivery milestones.

The ideal candidate excels in PowerPoint and visual storytelling, thrives in a collaborative environment, and brings a meticulous approach to quality assurance and scheduling. While not a change manager, this role will contribute to change management efforts by preparing clear, impactful communications.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Executive Presentations: Leverage data to craft high-quality, visually engaging PowerPoint presentations for executive audiences, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Communications Management: Develop and manage announcements, updates, and milestone communications in partnership with marketing, ensuring consistency and timeliness for product delivery phases.
  • Backward Scheduling: Maintain a highly organized schedule for executive communications, working backward from deadlines to coordinate input, drafts, and final deliverables.
  • Collaboration: Partner with multiple stakeholders (e.g., product owners, marketing, and leadership) to gather critical input for executive slides and communications, ensuring all perspectives are represented.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of executive slides and communications to ensure accuracy, professionalism, and alignment with organizational standards.
  • Change Management Support: Assist in preparing communications that support change initiatives, translating operational shifts into digestible messages for stakeholders (note: this is not a change manager role).
  • Deadline Coordination: Work with product owners to set and communicate deadlines for draft development of executive slides, ensuring timely contributions.
  • Milestone Communications: Collaborate with marketing and product teams to prepare and distribute communications for key product delivery milestones, enhancing visibility and engagement.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Data Analytics, or a related field

Experience

  • 5-7 years proven experience in business operations, communications, or a related role
  • Demonstrated ability to create visually appealing, data-driven PowerPoint presentations for executive audiences
  • Familiarity with product management and DevOps processes is a strong asset

Skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage complex schedules and deliverables.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and visual design tools for creating professional presentations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to distill complex data into clear, concise messages.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working across teams to gather input and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical ability to translate operational data into actionable insights for leadership. Product management and DevOps is a strong asset.
