Business Analyst (Change) - Security and Emergency Management ServiceContract: 5 months, starting ASAPLocation: Adelaide CBD Pay Rate: ASO6 ($62.00 - $66.56 per hour + Super) About the Role A well-respected South Australian State Government agency is seeking an experienced Business Analyst (Change) to support the successful delivery of a transformational change project within the Security and Emergency Management Service (SEMS). This critical role will contribute to the Telephone Resolution Capability Project, ensuring smooth implementation and adoption of new or improved systems and technology. The Business Analyst (Change) will play a pivotal role in stakeholder engagement, business process improvement, and change management to optimise outcomes aligned with the project. Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage business analyst activities by identifying complex business impacts and engaging key stakeholders.
Identify and facilitate change activities required to support business areas through the transformation.
Lead business engagement initiatives to improve workflows, practices, and processes.
Ensure the successful adoption of change through structured delivery, monitoring, and support.
Provide expert advice on organisational readiness, including assessing business readiness checklists.
Offer guidance on workforce planning, workflow improvements, and work practice changes.
Define and measure success metrics and track change progress.
Assist in the development of effective communication materials to support the project.
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a strong focus on change management within a complex environment.
Excellent business acumen and understanding of organisational challenges.
Strong ability to engage and support senior leaders, coaching project teams and stakeholders.
Capability to operate under broad direction, exercising significant responsibility and decision-making authority.
Demonstrated expertise in contemporary change management frameworks, methodologies, and tools.
High-level analytical skills with strong attention to detail and conceptual thinking ability.
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to develop clear, high-quality reports and documentation.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.
Experience leading stakeholder engagement, conducting change readiness assessments, and measuring change sustainability.
Proficiency in Visio or similar process mapping tools.
