The successful candidate will assist with administration of BWM modules in the Kansas Environmental Information Management System (KEIMS), provide end user support for KEIMS and the federal RCRA Info database, and perform tasks related to data quality assurance. Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: * Maintenance, testing, and resolution of performance issues in KEIMS. * Serving as an administrator for internal and external users of KEIMS and RCRA Info. * Preparing written instructional/training materials for internal and external end users of KEIMS. * Working with BWM staff to establish and perform regular data quality assurance procedures. * Entering and analyzing program data and preparing visualizations of program metrics. * Assisting with BWM website maintenance. Occasional travel may be required. Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: KEIMS Maintenance. Evaluate Bureau of Waste Management (BWM) processes and how they relate to the Kansas Environmental Information Management System (KEIMS) and RCRA Info, the federal hazardous waste database. Under the direction of the supervisor, identify and help to resolve performance issues in KEIMS. This includes performing the compilation, importing, cleaning, storing, exporting, and analysis of data to ensure accuracy and completeness; performing accurate and timely data migration from KEIMS to RCRA Info; and other data management activities as required. Assist with testing of the database and the production launch of database enhancements. Participate in meetings with KDHE IT, EPA, and contractors regarding Bureau, Agency and Federal databases and data exchange programs. Serve as lead worker for staff performing data entry and as needed, assist with data entry. Database administration and user support. Serve as a database administrator for internal and external users of KEIMS. Serve as an administrator for Kansas users of RCRA Info. Approve users, assign users roles, and deactivate users. Prepare or assist with preparation and updates of written instructional/training materials for internal and external end users of KEIMS. Schedule and conduct demonstrations and training events as needed. Provide technical support to end users to troubleshoot database problems. Provide support as needed for BWM IT needs and projects. Qualifications * Education: * High School, GED * Licensing & Certification: * Valid Driver's License - Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver's license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State. * Minimum Qualifications: * Two years of experience in providing direction necessary to implement the objectives of an agency, program or organizational unit.
