Building Services Coordinator

Limerick

Ensure all building services activities are coordinated with other construction activities from specification and procurement through to installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.

Role Responsibilities

• Ensure MEPS trade partners carry out all work to the appropriate standards.
• Participate in the project health and safety meetings as required.
• Drive MEPS subcontractor health and safety performance through the weekly technical services meetings.
• Manage the production of coordinated MEPS drawings in conjunction with civil, structural, and architectural works.
• Oversee the production and approval of technical submittals and samples from MEPS subcontractors in line with the programme and specification requirements.
• Manage the flow of information between MEPS subcontractors and the project team.
• Coordinate with utilities companies to ensure programme compliance.
• Monitor and track the progress of MEPS installations, ensuring adequate resources are consistently provided to meet the programme.
• Coordinate the testing, commissioning, BCAR, and handover process with relevant specialists and subcontractors.
• Coordinate temporary M&E requirements for site setup and project duration.

The Candidate

• Third-level qualification in Building Services, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or a qualified trade in M or E.
• Minimum of 5 years construction experience, with at least 3 years as a Services Coordinator.
• Proven track record of successfully completing projects.
• Strong understanding of design requirements and the client’s brief.
• Ability to get along with the project team and maintain a positive working atmosphere.
• Autonomous, with the ability to deliver results without close management supervision.
• Results-oriented with a strong drive to deliver M&E services.
