Job Description: As a Building Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our properties. You will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, as well as other critical building systems and maintenance, to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and safety. Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, pumps, and other mechanical systems to ensure efficient operation and compliance with safety standards. Troubleshoot and repair building systems and equipment as needed, responding promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies. Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to schedules and checklists to minimize downtime and prolong the lifespan of equipment. Monitor and maintain building automation systems (BAS) and energy management systems (EMS) to optimize energy efficiency and reduce operational costs. Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and projects, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, equipment inventory, and safety inspections. Respond to tenant inquiries and concerns regarding building systems and maintenance issues, providing excellent customer service and timely resolution. Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred. Proven experience as a Building Engineer or similar role in property management, facilities management, or related field. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repair. Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS), energy management systems (EMS), and other relevant technology. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC certification, Licensed Electrician) preferred.
