Building Engineer - Downtown Boston

Our client, a prominent real estate firm, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Engineer for one of their commercial properties located in downtown Boston. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and comfort of the building, all while benefiting from a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Use software to address tenant requests and enhance overall comfort.
• Ensure all preventive maintenance tasks are executed effectively.
• Supervise vendors and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Assist in managing capital projects, ensuring they meet building regulations.
• Lead emergency response training and enforce safety procedures.
• Keep accurate records of building information and systems.
  
  

What You’ll Bring:

• At least 3 years of experience in building operations with strong troubleshooting skills in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• High School diploma or equivalent, with trade school certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, or building control systems preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal building performance.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

• Base Salary: $30-$35/hr, with overtime opportunities.
