Controls Service Tech

Position Overview

The Controls Service Technician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of building automation systems and HVAC controls. The technician will ensure optimal performance of control systems while providing quality service to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure building automation and HVAC control systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with HVAC control systems
  • Perform regular maintenance and inspections on control systems
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on system operations
  • Document service activities and prepare reports for management
  • Collaborate with other team members to enhance service delivery

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in controls and HVAC service
  • Familiarity with building automation systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Knowledge of ABCS, JCI, CCT, and PLC programming is a plus
  • Certification as an Automated Building Controls Specialist is desirable
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
