Building Automation Technician

Location: Hines, IL (primarily) - will accept local candidates or traveling candidates! 3 weeks on, 1 week off

Pay: $40-60/hour + travel covered, overtime, & per diem

Skills: Must have Johnson Controls

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Building Automation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and optimization of building automation systems. This role involves working closely with HVAC systems and ensuring that all automated systems operate efficiently and effectively to create a comfortable environment for occupants.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure building automation systems including Johnson Controls equipment.
• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of building automation systems.
• Collaborate with HVAC technicians to ensure seamless integration of automation systems.
• Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency.
• Provide technical support and training to building staff on system operations.
• Document all service activities and maintain accurate records of system performance.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Building Automation Technician or in a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of Johnson Controls systems is required.
• Familiarity with Tridium, Niagara, HVAC, BAS, Building Controls, and Automation is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
