Job Title: Broadcast IT Engineer
Location: Washington, DC (Onsite, Full-Time, Rotating Shifts)
Compensation: $100K - $130K
Shifts: Rotating shifts, including weekdays and weekends (Currently 9 AM - 5 PM / 5 PM - 1 AM, subject to change based on broadcast requirements).

Role Overview
As a Broadcast IT Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation of studio and production equipment, as well as IT systems. You will provide first and second-level technical support to journalists, production teams, and on-screen talent in a live broadcast environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot studio and production equipment (cameras, audio, video switchers, robotic cameras, video walls).
- Provide first and second-level IT support for newsroom journalists and studio teams across Windows, Mac, and Linux systems.
- Ensure rapid troubleshooting and resolution of on-air technical issues to maintain live broadcast continuity.
- Work with broadcast automation systems (e.g., Viz Mosart, Ross Overdrive) and streaming technologies (HLS, RTMP, SRT).
- Support cloud-based broadcast solutions, collaborating with engineers to test, build, and maintain new cloud products.
- Maintain documentation of workflows, perform scheduled maintenance, and support change management processes.
- Support networking and IT infrastructure, including end-user systems, Microsoft O365, Google Workspace, and security protocols.
Key Skills & Experience
- Broadcast & Live TV experience (5+ years preferred).
- Familiarity with broadcast systems, including VizRT, NDI, LiveU, TVU, and Unreal Engine.
- Experience with cloud & virtualization (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VMware).
- Networking knowledge (IP-based broadcast workflows, switching, and security).

- Media Asset Management (MAM) & Production Asset Management (PAM):
- Production & Studio Equipment: PTZ Cameras (Canon/Panasonic), Quicklink, Sony, Panasonic.
- Cloud & Streaming: AWS Broadcast Solutions, HLS, RTMP, NDI, SRT.
- IT & Networking: Windows, Mac, Linux, Google Workspace, O365, virtualization, security protocols.
