Summary

Position Summary

The Office of the Commissioner seeks a Part - Time Broadcast Engineer to support the MLB Replay Operations

Center and all (30) MLB franchises.

Responsibilities

  • Verify ballpark equipment including video servers and communication equipment
  • Document equipment status and verify incoming video streams for Replay
  • Communicate with local technicians and Replay Operators to coordinate video requests and equipment confirmations
  • Keep detailed and thorough notes and documentation
  • Assist in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on all broadcast devices
  • Respond to requests for technical support via telephone and email

Qualifications And Skills

  • Have fundamental understanding of Broadcast technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical materials
  • Ability to recognize and troubleshoot issues in infrastructure environments and software applications
  • Ability to work well with others within a team environment and without direct supervision
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays

Knowledge Of The Following Equipment a Bonus

Evertz systems, Hawkeye systems, Riedel Intercoms, Remote camera operations, etc.

Pay Range: $30 - $32 per hour

The actual offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your work

experience, education, skills, and any other factors MLB considers relevant to the hiring

decision.
