Job Description: Briefing Center Event Manager

The Briefing Center Event Manager is responsible for planning and organizing customer and partner meetings for our corporate client in the briefing center at their corporate headquarters. This key team member will also manage offsite smaller scale events on their own in the greater Raleigh, NC area. Events include customer briefings, conferences, evening events, team building, and general meetings. The successful candidate will work closely with our corporate client on pre-event planning, onsite management, budgeting, and post event activities. We are seeking someone who is familiar with the Raleigh-Durham area (and maybe considers themselves an expert!) and can take pride in planning seamless business events.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Meticulously maintain project plan and timeline
  • Coordinate logistics such as: registration, housing, F&B, evening events, A/V, agenda flow, promotional products, sponsorship management, etc.
  • Source venues/properties and provide expert guidance to the client for proper selections
  • Manage attendee registration experience and communication – Swoogo experience is preferred
  • Manage event communications such as save the date, invitations, attendee day of logistics communications, etc.
  • Create shipping labels and manage tracking numbers for event items
  • Manage event technology such as virtual platforms and mobile apps
  • Manage detailed budgets – Excel proficient is required
  • Flawlessly execute all behind-the-scenes details for a seamless event
  • Onsite management needed for several events per month

Successful Candidate Qualities:

  • Knowledge and experience in event logistics – corporate focus mandatory
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to create a one-of-a-kind onsite attendee event experience
  • Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality with a sense of humor and upbeat, positive demeanor
  • Expert in Raleigh-Durham and surrounding area with a hospitality focus

Required Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Years of Experience: minimum of 3 years corporate event experience a must

Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid (expect about 3-4 days a week in the office and other days to be working remotely)
