Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Perform analysis and design of Bridges and Buildings structures including vehicle and pedestrian bridges as well as low to mid-rise buildings.
- Prepare computer analysis models, organize calculations, interpret design codes, and provide markups to produce construction drawings.
- Interact with CAD Technicians (familiarized with the latest structural CAD standards).
- Visit project sites and provide construction observations towards providing engineering solutions to different site conditions and/or existing conditions.
- Interact with CSA Bridge Engineer, Architects and other Engineering disciplines.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Master degree in structural engineering from Accredited Board (ABET)
- 15+ years in structural engineering in Bridge Design
- Licensed and Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Puerto Rico
- Strong experience in design of concrete, steel, and wood structures.
- Knowledge of the design of aluminum and FRP structures is a must.
- Strong knowledge in structural engineering analysis and design.
- Proficient user of software such as Etabs, SAP2000, AutoCad, REVIT, CSIBridge, SAFE, Enercalc, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Tools.
- Technology oriented.
- Team player.
- Fully Bilingual (oral and written).
- Well organized.
