Join the Team as a Refractory Technician!

Job Title: Refractory Technician (Bricklayer)
Location: Reading, PA
Pay Range: $22/hr
Shift: 7am- 3:30pm 

Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of refractory products, and we're looking for a skilled Refractory Technician to join their dynamic team. If you have experience in construction, farming, masonry, landscaping, or carpentry, your skills are a perfect match for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret Drawings: Read and interpret refractory lining drawings with precision.
• Bricklaying: Use brick saws and bricklaying equipment to lay bricks in ladles, furnaces, tundishes, and more.
• Manual Handling: Handle bricks by hand for extended periods.
• Repairs: Perform plug changes and repair slide gates.
• Training: Teach and guide others on proper installation procedures.
• Installation Methods: Execute various refractory installation methods, including gunite, pouring, ramming, pumping, ceramic fiber, and firebrick installation.

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Licenses: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Certifications: OSHA 10 and forklift certification (preferred).
• Skills: Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.
• Experience: Proven experience in refractory bricklaying, cell relining, cupola repair, furnace repair, and ladle
