Summary

Position Overview: NCSG Crane & Heavy Haul Services Ltd. is currently recruiting for a Branch Manager (Crane Division) to join our team in Regina, SK. The ideal candidate will have a Crane, Engineering, or Business background with comprehensive knowledge of crane functions, capabilities, and standards. The Branch Manager will oversee all branch activities, including safety, bidding, dispatching, operations, engineering, financial budgeting, and fleet maintenance. They will ensure that activities meet quality standards and are completed on time. Additionally, they will develop and implement branch policies aligned with corporate guidelines, and coordinate with other branches to maintain schedules and make necessary revisions when required. The Branch Manager must have the ability to assess jobs, scale out cranes, and execute with the required expertise. It would not be unusual for the Branch Manager to sit in the seat of a crane or move Class 1 equipment as needed. Competitive Salary with Bonus component Comprehensive Benefit package Matching RRSP program Generous Paid Vacation Company vehicle and fuel card for work purposes Your success will be defined by your ability to: Direct and optimize operations within the branch; Develop and implement effective branch/site planning that will ensure effective completion of area functions in accordance with corporate guidelines; Monitor overall branch performance, providing solutions to problems that repeatedly affect branch performance or could lead to future issues; Provide overall leadership and direction while maintaining a safe environment and a respectful, team oriented workplace; Deliver high quality customer service including relationship management, contract knowledge, and problem-solving skills; Manage the complete local value chain of activities (sales/estimating field; activities/execution, equipment sourcing/supply) with support from Corporate shared services (Finance, HR, Safety, Fleet); Foster a strong local culture to support the company’s purpose of Inspiring Solutions with a WE CAN attitude; Ensure that all branch employees are familiar and work in accordance with company goals, objectives and Core Values by monitoring and reinforcing compliance with Policies & Procedures as well as industry regulations; Ensure employees are following safe work practices, and are completing job duties efficiently, providing adequate support when required; Actively market the Company services and seek growth opportunities in addition to maintaining collaborative and profitable relationships with customer organizations; Identify and communicate potential growth opportunities for the company to the Executive team; Prepare annual budgets (P&L and annual Capex spending targets) based on factors such as market projections, fleet refurbishment, capital expenditures and fleet additions including the enforcement of cost controls and general efficiencies to ensure achievement of financial targets and profit margins while monitoring repair and maintenance costs. Taking corrective actions when required, planning, organizing, directing and controlling all major maintenance to maintain budget guidelines; Monitor ongoing updates of equipment, parts inventories and general purchasing process ensuring quality and cost effectiveness; Leading and driving profitability, growth, and direction in sales activities in line with company vision and values; Ability to assist hands-on via running a crane or moving equipment as project demands require; Previous crane operation and/or Class 1 experience preferred; Overseeing overall Branch performance; Assume additional responsibilities for related duties. Qualifications: Must be living in or willing to relocate to Regina, SK; Minimum of five years’ experience in mobile crane operations and project management will be considered an asset; Journeyman Crane Operator ticket required. Candidates with a Class 1 License will be given priority; Hands on leadership, supervisory and mentoring experience; Previous experience working in the Crane industry at a managerial level preferred; The Branch Manager will be comfortable in a “services driven business”. Understands the nuances of customer/ market needs and how to meet these in a profitable manner; Ability to lead and manage all moving parts in a complex organization through multi-tasking to maintain controls of operations; Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; Demonstrated ability to solve problems and translate customer needs into business and service requirements; Strong analytical skills; ability to look at situations from multiple points of views; Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and the ability to learn new systems as required by internal needs or customer requirements; Safety conscious attitude and leadership style.
