Read more at www.dsv.com Location: USA - Houston, 831 Division: Air & Sea Job Posting Title: Branch Manager, Air & Sea US - 95000 Time Type: Full Time Job Summary: The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch operations, with a strong focus on customer acquisition, team development, and financial management. The role demands both strategic oversight and hands-on leadership to ensure operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities: 1. Business Development & Customer Management: * Drive branch growth by acquiring new clients and maintaining strong relationships with existing ones. * Ensure excellent customer service by fostering an environment of continuous improvement and accountability. * Regularly visit key clients to identify opportunities for further business development. 2. Team Leadership & Development: * Lead Your Team: Set ambitious goals for the branch team, track performance, and motivate employees to deliver outstanding results. * Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team aligned with the company's mission. * Foster a culture of open dialogue and constructive feedback, encouraging growth and continuous improvement. * Smoothly integrate new hires into the organization and provide ongoing support for their development. * Recognize and reward top performers while creating growth opportunities for all employees. 3. Operational & Financial Management: * Oversee branch operations to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards. * Use financial reports to manage cash flow, improve transportation yield, and control expenses. * Lead Your Business: Act in the interest of ONE DSV, ensuring branch operations align with the broader organizational goals. * Focus on driving profitable growth by increasing revenue and improving operational efficiency. 4. Strategic Planning & Execution: * Develop and implement strategies to keep the branch competitive in the freight forwarding market. * Leverage market insights to adapt and enhance the branch's operational performance. * Work closely with the leadership team to align branch goals with overall company objectives. 5. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred. * At least 7 years of progressive experience in the freight forwarding industry, or 10 years of equivalent work experience. Skills & Competencies: * Strong leadership, team-building, and delegation skills. * Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. * Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure and adapt to changing market conditions. * High level of initiative and personal accountability. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
