Job Overview We are seeking a hard-working and personable trainee to join our Estimating Team at Best Collision Center. In this role, you would be trained to/responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates/supplements, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair process. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and the ability to adapt to a variety of situations. Responsibilities Interact with and listen to Estimators/Technicians as they provide instructions and guidance on how to work in a body shop. Evaluate vehicle damage and determine the necessary repairs while ensuring accuracy in estimates. Collaborate with Technicians and break down what needs to be done on newly dropped off vehicles. Actively work with a team by communicating messages, taking notes, and documenting phone calls to help streamline the repair process Communicate effectively with customers to explain the repair process, costs, and timelines. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly. Follow up with customers post-repair to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback. Interacting with a variety of insurance companies to ensure we obtain what is required to fix a vehicle Requirements General knowledge of vehicles (minimal experience allowed) Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Ability to work collaboratively with Technicians and Managers Eagerness to learn and a strong ability to retain information Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple estimates simultaneously. Ability to suspend judgment when necessary and make informed decisions based on assessment findings.
