The following position is available in the West Springfield Public School system: BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST (BCBA) Duties: Consult: Observations, discussion with liaison and supervisor, providing resources and strategies (with verbal and written documentation) * Oversee and develop programs for students * Program Leader/Facilitator: setting up data collection systems, defining behavior, conducting directed observations, function-based interventions, FBAs and BIPS, data analysis, weekly monitoring and representative at team meeting related to behavior * Address goals and benchmarks: Social Skills/Pragmatics, executive function and cognitive behavior strategies * Understand diagnosis and work with parents * Take treatment integrity data * Model behavior plan and other interventions as well as teach plan to others in order to have plan implemented by staff * Other assignments as needs arise Qualifications: * Certification as a BCBA * Experience working with students on the autism spectrum * Experience working with students with challenging behavioral needs Work Schedule: Full time, Individual Contract
