Summary

Leopard Controls, a market leader within the Controls Systems industry, is seeking a service technician to carryout HVAC BMS and EMS maintenance, service and commissioning.

The successful applicant should have experience in the HVAC and Electrical Service industry and will need to be able to work independently and within a team.

 

Requirements:

  • Perform routine service, preventive maintenance, and inspections on BMS and EMS equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with control devices, sensors, actuators, and other components of BMS and EMS systems.
  • Conduct software updates, calibration adjustments, and system optimizations to improve efficiency and functionality.
  • Repair or replace malfunctioning or faulty components of BMS and EMS systems, including controllers, relays, valves, and wiring, to restore functionality.
  • Coordinate with Service Manager to procure replacement parts, and equipment as needed, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Coordinate with Service Manager and the estimating team to collate necessary labour and materials required for repairs and projects in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with Service Co-Ordinator to schedule site visits and complete compliance documentation and reporting.
  • Follow company procedures and Policy’s surrounding he use of Microsoft Outlook and Teams
  • Document all service and repair activities accurately and maintain comprehensive records of equipment history.
  • Conduct commissioning activities for newly installed or upgraded BMS and EMS systems, including system testing, verification, and optimization.
  • Ensure that BMS and EMS systems are installed and configured according to design specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Generate commissioning reports and documentation to validate system performance and compliance.
  • Interact professionally with clients, building owners, facility managers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on service, maintenance, and commissioning activities.
  • Communicate technical issues, recommendations, and solutions effectively to address client concerns and ensure satisfaction.
  • Provide training and support to clients on the operation and maintenance of BMS and EMS systems as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, regulations, and company policies while performing service, maintenance, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing BMS and EMS systems installation, operation, and maintenance.


Must Have:

  • Western Australian Drivers License
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with a wide cliental base
  • Computer literate
  • Technical writing skills
  • Service focused attitude
  • Is self-managed /able to work autonomously
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to manage time and prioritise works
  • Safety focused


Preference to Have:

  • Knowledge of BMS and HVAC systems
  • Niagara and/or BMS Training 
  • Electrical and/or ARC License
