Summary

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Bluetooth Software Validation Engineer who will be part of Wireless Connectivity team that is focused on delivering high quality Wireless technologies on various Tesla vehicle platforms (S, 3, X, Y, Cybertruck, and Cybercab). In this role, you will be responsible for the architecture, design, and validation of Bluetooth solutions for telematics systems. The position requires close collaboration with cross functional teams and external suppliers and partners, with an emphasis on independent problem solving and creative solutions for complex design challenges. You will thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines, driving high-quality results under pressure. * Develop end-to-end test plans for Bluetooth evaluation in vehicle and bench setups * Perform tests that conforms Bluetooth functionality, features, performance and IOP * Document, root-cause and follow up on bugs found in internal, beta, field and vendor testing * Contribute towards enhancing existing Test automation * Analyze telemetry data to identify fleet-wide issues and areas for optimization * Work closely with Wireless development, Antenna, Manufacturing, Hardware and System Software teams to optimize performance * Identify areas of opportunities and implement improvements, knowledge sharing and best practices * Drive various tasks to completion and be a connoisseur of great quality product * Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating exceptional expertise in the domain * 3+ years of hands-on experience in Bluetooth/Wireless connectivity technologies * Proficiency in functional testing of Bluetooth profiles such as A2DP, HFP, MAP, HID, etc. * Experience with Bluetooth IoT testing and familiarity with tools such as FTS, Ellysis (OTA sniffer)is highly desirable * Experience in test automation using frameworks and scripting languages such as Python, Shell, GIT, or Jenkins * Comfortable working in Linux/Unix-based environments * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Familiarity with the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle
