Senior Blockchain Developer – Equity & Crypto

A rapidly expanding blockchain company is looking for a Senior Blockchain Developer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge tools for the Stacks Blockchain. In this role, you’ll work both independently and within a team to design, implement, and improve key features that ensure security, efficiency, and scalability. Experience with open-source projects is a plus, as many of our tools are publicly available.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize developer tools for blockchain applications.
• Implement advanced security measures and monitoring systems to ensure stability.
• Design and build blockchain-related utilities, such as CLI clients, blockchain explorers, and debugging tools.
• Work closely with other teams to support product features that interact with the Stacks blockchain, including developer and UX tooling.

Ideal Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in software development with a strong product delivery background.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas:
• Public blockchain networks and consensus mechanisms
• Large-scale distributed systems and real-time processing
• High-availability infrastructure
• Cryptographic systems and protocols
• Compilers or similar complex systems
• Prior experience working with production-grade blockchain technology is required.
• Expert-level knowledge of Rust, including memory safety, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Experience implementing and optimizing cryptographic solutions in Rust.
• Strong debugging, testing, and performance analysis skills for long-term projects.

Preferred Skills

• Experience testing distributed systems under network failures and disruptions.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, including secure coding and vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with the challenges of peer-to-peer networks and blockchain infrastructure.
• Knowledge of programming language interpreters, compilers, or static code analysis.
• Research and development experience in blockchain or decentralized systems.
