Job SummaryWe are looking for a Lead Bioinformatics Engineer with expertise in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), pipeline automation, workflow management, and data visualization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and scaling bioinformatics pipelines, working with scientific algorithms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance bioinformatics solutions.This role requires a strong understanding of bioinformatics algorithms, computational biology, and data science along with the ability to interpret scientific results and implement technical solutions.Key Responsibilities Pipeline Development & Optimization:
Design, develop, and optimize bioinformatics pipelines for NGS (DNA, RNA, Metagenomics, Microarray, Gene Expression, scRNA, etc.).
Implement, test, and scale workflows using workflow managers like Nextflow (preferred), Airflow, or Snakemake.
Perform pipeline debugging, optimization, and documentation.
Bioinformatics & Data Analysis:
Interpret NGS results, analyze plots, and provide insights using data science & bio-statistical techniques.
Apply Python (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib) and R (RShiny, Tidyverse) for data analysis and visualization.
Support MultiOmics, Structural Biology, and Protein Prediction projects.
Cloud & HPC Environments:
Work in AWS and HPC-based environments for bioinformatics workloads.
Optimize computational pipelines for cloud scalability and performance.
Technical & Scientific Collaboration:
Work closely with scientists, researchers, and engineers to develop bioinformatics solutions.
Support bioinformatics algorithms, scientific use cases, and best practices.
Develop web-based bioinformatics solutions for enhanced usability.
Contribute to knowledge-sharing, presentations, and documentation for internal and client requirements.
SME Guidance & Client Interaction:
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in MultiOmics, Structural Biology, and Protein Prediction.
Provide bioinformatics consultation and scientific support for clients.
Present findings and showcase technical capabilities to multiple stakeholders.
Qualifications & SkillsMust-Have:✔ 3–9 years of experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related fields.
✔ Strong knowledge of NGS pipelines (DNA, RNA, Metagenomics, Microarray, Gene Expression, scRNA).
✔ Expertise in workflow managers (Nextflow preferred, Airflow, Snakemake).
✔ Strong programming skills in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib) and R (RShiny, Tidyverse).
✔ Hands-on experience with AWS and HPC-based bioinformatics environments.
✔ Strong communication and presentation skills.
✔ Ability to work in 24x7 environments and collaborate across teams.Good-to-Have (Preferred):✔ Experience in bio-statistical analysis and interpreting biological data.
✔ Exposure to web application development for bioinformatics solutions.
✔ Understanding of MultiOmics, Structural Biology, and Protein Prediction workflows
Education M.Sc./M.Tech or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, or equivalent from a reputable institution.
