Work Shift: Second Shift - Somersworth (United States of America) Work Shift Time: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Job Objective: Operate various coating production equipment to apply coatings and adhesives to hook and loop fabrics. Operator is responsible for making machine adjustments as required to maintain quality standards. Operator must maintain a clean work area, follow all company safety rules, while producing quality products on a timely basis, and perform other duties as assigned. Maintain safety, quality, and delivery standards. 2nd Shift: 3pm-11pm Essential Job Functions: Follow SOP and operate numerous coating lines to apply a variety of coatings to hook and loop tapes, with emphasis on producing a quality product. Set-up coater and oven. Mix adhesives or chemicals as required. Material handling includes loading and doffing rolls from production equipment. Moving material between processes. Responsible for accurately entering production WIP moves into the computer and electrically or manually recording additional production data. Move chemicals and or waste within the facility. Maintain the chemical storage area(s) and/or waste storage area(s) in a clean and orderly manner. Packages, labels, and prepares wastes for storage and transportation as requested. Inspect the facility and equipment regularly. Notifies appropriate personnel of any incidents or occurrences that may trigger implementation of the Contingency Plan. Consistently produce a quality product with in takt time set. May perform additional emergency response activities, including assisting in stopping or containing a release, as directed by the emergency coordinator. Ability to work well with others in a team environment Full time presence required. Ability and willingness to be cross trained in any other functions as required or requested. Excellent attendance required. Ability to work overtime as required or requested including extended shifts and weekends. Additional tasks as assigned. Job Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret written instructions. Complete basic paperwork. Perform data entry. Proficiency in basic math. High school or GED.
