Summary
General Description
Contributes to daily operations of Personal Injury/Workers Comp (PI/WC) team by performing intake, verification and maintenance of all billing-related tasks for MyoCore PI/WC cases.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
* Verify benefits/open claim/attorney for new PI/WC cases and provide approval to clinical team members to move forward with treatment.
* Perform data entry setup and maintain case information in EHR system.
* Maintain detailed logs and notes of all activity on open cases.
* Review and prepare patient records and bills to be sent via email, fax, or mail.
* Investigate status of cases with open balances.
* Phone communication with insurance adjusters, attorneys, patients and clinical teams.
* Ensure HIPAA compliance with all records and requests.
* Notify management of any strange scenarios, possible compliance concerns or recurring issues.
* Maintain a positive and professional work environment.
Minimum Qualifications
* 1+ years of insurance, healthcare billing or related experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with multiple teams
* Excellent organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience personal injury and/or Workers Comp billing experience
