Role Overview:
We are hiring a bilingual (English/Spanish)
Sales & Account Manager to lead our grant-backed sales efforts across California. This dynamic role blends inside sales, outside sales, and account management - guiding recycling center operators through every step of adopting our tech and applying for state grants.
We are especially interested in candidates based in
Los Angeles or
within commuting distance to our Sunnyvale office, as these areas are central to our customer network and team operations.
What You’ll Do:
Lead Prospecting & Qualification:
- Build and maintain a comprehensive list of CRV redemption centers across California.
- Research and vet each center for eligibility under California grant criteria.
- Prioritize leads based on size, location, and potential impact.
Sales & Outreach:
- Contact and pitch recycling center owners on our grant-backed technology offering.
- Deliver product presentations and live demos - virtually or through on-site road tours.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, helping customers understand both the tech and the funding opportunity.
Grant Support & Account Management:
- Act as the primary liaison for interested redemption centers.
- Guide customers through the documentation process for state grant submissions.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth installs, onboarding, and customer training.
Customer Success:
- Maintain strong relationships and ensure successful adoption of our technology.
- Provide ongoing training and support to the customer’s team.
- Identify opportunities for upsells and expansion of services.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development.
- Experience working with small business owners, especially in recycling, hardware/software sales, or grant-funded programs (preferred).
- Strong communication, follow-up, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel across California for meetings and demos.
- Based in Los Angeles or Sunnyvale/South Bay Area (preferred).
Compensation & Perks:
Base Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 DOE.
- Commission & Bonus: Uncapped, with potential to earn $150K+ total compensation.
- Travel reimbursement.
