By leveraging the expertise of the Children’s Specialized Hospital Autism Center of Excellence, the program aims to expand access to innovative and compassionate care, empowering children diagnosed with autism to thrive. Children’s Specialized ABA embraces a holistic approach, recognizing the interconnectedness of physical, emotional, and social well-being, ensuring every aspect of a patient’s life is considered in their therapeutic journey.
Our integrated care model brings ABA therapy services augmented by complementary therapies, such as speech and language, occupational, and behavioral health services, ensuring a comprehensive, whole-child approach that supports a wide range of needs, from verbal to behavioral and social skills.

Job Summary
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) will provide comprehensive therapeutic services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder. LCSW collaborates with a multidisciplinary team including Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that combine ABA techniques with therapeutic interventions. They conduct assessments, offer counseling services and provide clinical supervision to behavior technicians. LCSW ensures that clients’ emotional psychological and social needs are addressed while supporting behavior modifications strategies to promote positive outcomes. This role requires strong clinical skills, a deep understanding of ABA principles and a commitment to creating a supportive environment for clients and their families.
Responsibilities
Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct through psychosocial assessments to identify the emotional psychological and social needs of clients.
- Diagnosing mental health disorders and collaborating with other professionals in developing plans.
Treatment Planning And Implementation
- Develop individualized treatment plans for clients, integrating ABA strategies with therapeutic approaches.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to behavior technicians and other staff members.
Therapeutic Services
- Offer individual, family, and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Work on improving social skills emotional regulation and coping strategies for clients.
- Use trauma informed approaches when addressing client needs.
- Provide resources to families during intake and as needed.
Collaboration With Team
- Collaborate with the BCBAs parents, caregivers and other specialists to ensure integrated care.
- Provide feedback to other team members regarding client progress in therapy and ABA interventions.
- Attend team meetings to discuss treatment goals and objectives.
- Coordinate team meetings with families and other professionals.
- Provide updates to PCP regarding client progress.
- Provide family support groups virtually and/or in person.
- Obtains formal feedback from families regarding their services and child’s progress.
- Participates with multidisciplinary team meetings and other pertinent meetings as required.
- Acts as liaison with the public and mental health community to provide support with development goals.
Documentation And Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up to date case files, treatment plans, progress notes and assessments.
- Prepare reports and progress summaries for insurance purposes treatment reviews and client meetings.
- Ensure all activities and interventions are in compliance with ethical standards, laws, and regulations.
- Assist in creating procedures for training materials to improve programs for individuals.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures and best practices in the provision of care.
Training And Supervision
- Supervise and mentor behavior technicians and other staff, providing clinical oversight and ensuring adherence to ethical standards,
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies to implement therapeutic interventions and home.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work
- Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Two or more years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges.
- Experience working in an ABA therapy setting
