Job Title: Bilingual HR Coordinator

Position Summary
A leading food manufacturing facility in the Newburyport area is seeking a
Bilingual Human Resources Coordinator(English/Spanish) to support day-to-day HR functions and contribute to a collaborative, employee-focused culture. This individual will play a key role in supporting HR operations and policies, managing hourly recruitment, and maintaining compliance with employment laws and internal procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly roles—including job postings, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation
- Act as a first point of contact for employee questions, providing support in both English and Spanish
- Maintain employee records and ensure proper data entry into HRIS, timekeeping, and payroll systems
- Support HR programs such as open enrollment, training, engagement surveys, audits, and internal communication
- Assist with the preparation of documentation for new hires, terminations, and other employee lifecycle changes
- Ensure all HR practices comply with relevant federal, state, and local laws
- Coordinate with external staffing partners for temporary labor needs
- Manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a generalist or HR support role, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment
- Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (UKG/Ultipro experience is a plus)
- Experience in a unionized setting is a bonus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
