Job Description: General Manager Assistant

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to support our General Manager with a wide range of administrative and travel-related tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills, professional communication, and the flexibility to travel for business purposes.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate individuals or departments
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including:
    • Scheduling meetings and managing correspondence
    • Coordinating travel arrangements
    • Data entry, filing, and document organization
  • Transcribe meeting minutes and draft documents as needed
  • Perform general office duties such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing
  • Support and accompany the General Manager on business trips as required
  • Assist with selected sales-related tasks, such as client communication, quote follow-up, and maintaining customer records — please note this is not a sales role, but may involve occasional sales support

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus
  • Professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle calls efficiently and courteously
