Job Description

Strategic Leadership with Flair

  • Set inspiring annual bequest targets together with the Senior Manager Fundraising.
  • Create innovative communication and stewardship strategies that turn prospects into passionate supporters.
  • Ensure every plan meets top-notch industry standards and aligns perfectly with our broader goals.

Team Championing

  • Lead, mentor, and empower the Senior Officer Planned Giving, ensuring you both shine as a cohesive, high-performing team.
  • Provide guidance that nurtures growth, fosters creativity, and drives impactful donor engagement.

Bequest Administration, Redefined

  • Oversee the smooth execution of bequests, ensuring every detail is handled with precision and integrity.
  • Manage documentation and compliance processes while working with external partners when needed.

Creating and Cultivating Connections

  • Build and maintain strong, meaningful relationships with confirmed bequestors, executors, trustees, and key stakeholders.
  • Develop innovative strategies to expand our bequest pipeline, ensuring a sustainable flow of support.

Event Coordination with Impact

  • Spearhead exciting donor events and activities designed to engage and inspire.
  • Collaborate with team members to create memorable experiences that truly celebrate our supporters.

The Successful Applicant

  • A seasoned professional with at least 5 years of experience in bequest management, legacy giving, or major gift fundraising.
  • A natural leader with a collaborative, results-driven mindset and a flair for creative problem solving.
  • An articulate communicator and confident public speaker who can present ideas with clarity and passion.
  • Exceptionally organised, with a knack for juggling multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Passionate about securing long-term support and making a real difference for Guide Dogs and VisAbility WA.
