The Health Center Association of Nebraska (HCAN) is actively recruiting a Behavioral Health Provider to join our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Gering, Nebraska, where you will provide high-quality, patient-centered behavioral health care for all. Your Role:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat mental health and substance abuse disorders
• Create and adjust treatment plans, offer therapy and crisis intervention, manage patient care, and advocate for mental health awareness
• Meet with clients on an emergency basis to evaluate the probability of harm to self and others and make recommendations for further care
• Provide substance abuse screening, education, and brief interventions
• Participate in Clinical Behavioral Health on-call coverage schedule
• Prepare and maintain treatment records and reports
• Maintain confidentiality of client records pertaining to treatment

What We Are Looking For:

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health related field
• Current license in good standing as a Mental Health Practitioner in the state of Nebraska (LMHP, PLMHP, LIMHP, LCSW, PLCSW, LMFT)
• Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of mental dysfunctions
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
• Demonstrated professional commitment to providing services to medically under-served individuals in a public health setting
• Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of mental health disorders
