• Industry Insight and landscape Analysis Build a thorough understanding of the company’s portfolio and related therapy area. Expert in industry trends and awareness of competitor datasets in Ferring areas of strategic focus. Proactively analyze landscape of novel drug targets, disease biology, industry trends, breakthrough technologies and trend of BD deals.
• Partnership Identification and Engagement
  
  

Proactively scout and identify potential partnering opportunities from a wide variety of sources, including early, mid and late-stage assets, and various strategic partnership. Engage and form proper connections with potential candidates to confirm collaboration willingness.

Create high-caliber professional materials for company presentation and further discussions. Lead NDA signing with potential partners.

• Research and Evaluation Conduct research and analysis of related companies and potential partners.
  
  

Conduct thorough evaluation on BD opportunities, assess the value of scientific and clinical trials, the development and registration estimation and timeline, competitive landscape, market size, business potential. Conduct research and understand the potential partners.

• Business Case Development Develop solid business case for BD deals through reasonable assumptions and scenario analysis, such as Epi trend, pricing and NRDL scenario, market share, etc… Assess P&L models, NPV with proposed deal structure, conduct sensitivity analysis in relates to key influencing factors. Serving as the internal lead in both preparation and presentation of business case, coordinate with key stakeholders to discuss and align on the business case.
• Project Support and cross function collaboration Support the project process in TS, due diligence and contract negotiation with guidance of line manager. Collaborate with key stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure smooth and effective communication and close team work on BD projects. Facilitate related meetings by preparing and aligning the agenda, preparing materials, running the meeting, capturing meeting minutes and ensuring appropriate follow up in due time.
• Material Preparation and Meeting Support Prepare materials, presentations for internal and external meetings, capture meeting minutes and ensure appropriate and timely follow up. Any other projects as directed by BD head aimed at ensuring strong execution of Ferring priorities and contribution to corporate strategy.
• Competitive Intelligence Build & maintain robust competitive intelligence to Senior Management on market, sector, players and leading competing assets. Stay abreast of new developments in key therapeutic areas and be alert to external trends that could impact the outlook for Ferring China. Requirements： M.D. or Ph.D. in Pharmacy, Biology or life science majors. Minimum 5 years of experience in BD function in the pharmaceutical, with solid experience and capabilities focused on sourcing and evaluating business development opportunities. Consulting experience is preferred Outstanding analytical skills; e.g, developing business cases, building quantitative model, generating Tornado diagram for sensitivity analysis. Experience building and maintaining complex market assessments and valuation models of sensitivity analysis as MUST Demonstrated success in interacting directly with BD, commercial, scientific and other senior management executive from internal or external. Strong business acumen with goal-oriented personality, good organizing and planning skill Self-motivated team player and able to work efficiently with external collaborators in a dynamic environment. A strong sense of urgency and accountability, and experience working with aggressive timelines. Able to think analytically and strategically, synthesize information quickly and logically. Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel. Outstanding communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
