Job Title: BBX Developer / Analyst

Experience: 5 - 8 Years

Mode of Hire : Fulltime

The BBX Developer/Analyst is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting the Business Basic Extended (BBX) applications within the organization’s ERP system.

This role includes the development of new functionality, troubleshooting system issues, and supporting business operations by ensuring smooth integration and functionality

of core ERP modules.

Key responsibilities:

Design, code, and test custom programs using BBX (Business Basic Extended) in ERP platforms.

Maintain and enhance existing ERP applications and reports to meet evolving business needs.

Develop interfaces between BBX and other internal/external systems (e.g., web portals, third-party logistics, financial systems).

Provide technical support for BBX-based applications and resolve system bugs.

Work closely with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Ensure system stability, performance optimization, and effective error handling.

Create and maintain system reports using BBX and related reporting tools.

Develop data extraction and transformation routines to support business intelligence or downstream systems.

Maintain data integrity across various modules of the ERP system.

Collaborate with functional teams (inventory, finance, logistics) to align software functionality with business needs.

Produce detailed technical documentation, user manuals, and support guides.

Train end users and IT colleagues on BBX applications and processes.

Skills:

Proven experience with Business Basic Extended (BBX) or similar structured programming languages (e.g., Pick, Thoroughbred, UniVerse, or D3).

Experience working in ERP environments (Kerridge K8, Eclipse, or similar systems preferred).

Strong understanding of business workflows: inventory, sales, purchasing, and finance.

Ability to debug, optimize, and troubleshoot legacy codebases.

Familiarity with modern integration techniques (APIs, FTP, flat file transfers) is a plus.
