Role Description

This is a contract, remote role for a Bassa Language Translator. The Translator will be responsible for translating written materials from English to Bassa and vice versa. Daily tasks include ensuring accurate translations, maintaining the original context and meaning of the texts, and proofreading translated documents for accuracy. The Translator will collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines and maintain linguistic consistency.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Bassa and English languages
• Experience in translation, interpretation, and localization
• Attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
• Ability to maintain the original context and meaning of the text
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Knowledge of cultural nuances and idiomatic expressions in both languages
