Il Fornaio Cucina Italiana is currently interviewing for a knowledgeable, experienced, service-oriented Bartender. Experience in a similar environment is required. As a bartender, you'll wow our guests with outstanding service and hospitality. Our successful bartender will be gracious, friendly and be able to multitask in a high volume environment while focusing on exceeding guest expectations. 1 year of pervious full service bartender experience is required. What we're looking for: Ability to make guest recommendations through knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, beer and a la carte food service Serving full menu and bar including wine and specialty cocktails. Delivering drinks and food correctly and efficiently Closing out checks and reconciling cash in a timely fashion Adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines while maintaining a positive teamwork attitude Communicating clearly, professionally, and respectfully Monitoring guest satisfaction Having a flexible work schedule including weekend availability Full bar service including wine, beer, specialty cocktails and espresso drinks Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with Il Fornaio standard drink recipes. Assume responsibility for the quality of guests' experience. Maintains a Guest focus while performing duties. Adhere to food safety standards and procedures Prior experience as Bartender, Mixologist, or bar back is very helpful in being successful at this job. RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certificate required in CA locations.
