Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Backup & Storage Administrator to manage and maintain our organization's backup solutions and storage infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of hands-on experience working with Tape Libraries, Veeam, and Azure Cloud. This role will ensure data integrity, security, and availability across the IT environment while optimizing backup strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backup & storage solutions using Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Manage Tape Libraries for archival and recovery processes.
• Oversee Azure Cloud backup and storage environments, ensuring efficiency, security, and compliance.
• Perform routine backup testing, recovery validation, and troubleshooting to minimize data loss risks.
• Monitor backup operations, storage utilization, and system performance, ensuring seamless data protection.
• Automate backup processes using scripting and scheduling tools for better efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT teams to optimize backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
• Ensure compliance with data retention policies, security standards, and industry best practices.
• Provide technical support and documentation for backup configurations and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Backup & Storage Administration.
• Expertise in Veeam Backup & Replication, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of Tape Libraries, including maintenance and recovery processes.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud backup solutions.
• Proficiency in backup automation, scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.), and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with storage protocols (SAN, NAS, iSCSI) and disaster recovery planning.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in Veeam, Azure, or Storage Technologies (e.g., Veeam Certified Engineer, Microsoft Azure Administrator, CompTIA Storage+).
• Experience with additional backup solutions such as Commvault, IBM Storage Protect (TSM), or NetBackup.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.
