The Role:

We're seeking a skilled Mid to Senior Backend Developer to join our technical team. You'll work on our APIs ecosystem built with Kotlin and Spring Boot, developing the backend systems that power our new UI portal. As part of our development team, you'll help create reliable, scalable APIs that manage and connect our e-bikes with our customer-facing applications.

What You'll Be Doing:

Design and implement RESTful APIs using Kotlin and Spring Boot

Work with our cloud infrastructure based on AWS

Integrate with the current portal backend

Contribute to database design, maintenance, and optimisation

Collaborate with frontend developers to create robust interfaces for our new UI portal

Optimise application performance and reliability across our development, staging, and production environments

Participate in code reviews

Who You Are:

You have 4+ years of backend development experience, with at least 2 years working with Kotlin, Java, or similar languages

You're experienced with Spring Boot and RESTful API development

You have worked with AWS cloud services (RDS, EC2, S3, SQS, etc.) and understand cloud-native architectures

You're comfortable with database design and SQL optimisation

You have exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform (nice to have)

You care about writing clean, testable, and maintainable code

You're a collaborative team player who thrives in an agile environment
