What You Will Do In this role, you will: * Design and implement data processing features from beginning to end * Architect new additions to the data pipeline taking into account company goals around performance and quality * Feature development for new features being added to the Milliman Pluritem clinical data pipeline * Bug fix issues occurring in the clinical data pipeline * Implement data integrations with partner companies * Develop automated testing to ensure high quality feature development without regression What We Are Looking For Professional Qualifications * Minimum of 5 years experience as a back end engineer or similar role * Strong programming skills and development life-cycle experience * Familiarity with AWS tools: API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, AppSync, CloudWatch * Experience designing and building API endpoints * Experience with JavaScript, and examples of nodeJS system engineering as well as front end JavaScript * Familiarity with Python Preferred Qualifications * 5+ years experience as a back end engineer or similar role * Previous healthcare IT experience * Familiarity with MongoDB and GraphQL databases Personal Qualifications * Excellent communication skills * Attention to detail Individual(s) must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for immigration support or sponsorship from Milliman now or in the future. The Team Milliman Pluritem is a pioneering business unit at Milliman with a mission to free patient data from outdated technology and silos. Pluritem's flag-ship product is CareFlowIQ - a SaaS-based, clinical data platform that makes patient data more accessible and enables enhanced patient care. Location This is a remote position. Candidates hired into this role may work onsite in select Milliman office locations, if they prefer. The expected application deadline for this job is May 12, 2025. Compensation The overall salary range for this role is $85,100 - $168,600. For candidates residing in: * Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the salary range is $93,610 - $154,550. * New York City, Newark, San Jose, or San Francisco the salary range is $102,120 - $168,600. * All other locations the salary range is $85,100 - $140,500.
