Job Title: Senior Backend .NET C# Developer

Job Summary

RED Global are partnered with a leading organisation that are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Backend .NET C# Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate is someone who writes clean, maintainable code, understands design patterns deeply, and thrives in domains where correctness, clarity, and precision are critical. This role involves solving complex technical challenges, working closely with both backend and frontend technologies, and contributing to the architectural direction of the solution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of robust, scalable backend solutions using modern .NET (C#) technologies.
• Architect and design APIs with a focus on performance, maintainability, and clarity.
• Contribute to frontend development (approx. 20% of the role) using React and TypeScript.
• Work on a new solution involving complex mathematical calculations and a wide range of input parameters.
• Act as a technical coach and mentor for a second development team.
• Serve as the go-to expert for technical questions and architectural guidance.
• Ensure code quality, correctness, and performance across the solution.
• Communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively, demonstrating strong pedagogical ability.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven expertise in C# and the .NET ecosystem, including Minimal APIs and modern language features.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
• Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex, parameter-rich problems.
• Experience with React and TypeScript (20% frontend involvement).
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a large-scale organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong mathematical background or demonstrated experience with math-heavy applications.
• Familiarity with large enterprise environments and agile development methodologies.
