Position Overview

As a Software Developer, you’ll design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using NestJS and TypeScript, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. You’ll work within a modern tech stack, including AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL, and contribute to a microservices-based architecture that powers our platform. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building robust, scalable systems. This role is a hybrid role and will work in-person 2 or more days a week. Core Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy scalable backend services and APIs using NestJS, TypeScript.
• Collaborate with the team to write maintainable, extensible, and performance-minded code.
• Use modern software engineering practices, including continuous integration, unit testing, and automated deployments.
• Work within a Kubernetes-based microservices architecture, ensuring seamless integration with our custom API gateway.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to process improvements.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript and Node.js (v20+).
• Proven experience designing and developing backend APIs for web, mobile, and third-party integrations.
• Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with NestJS for building scalable applications.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and Docker Compose for containerized deployments.
• Strong understanding of Agile software development processes.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal training and contribute to architectural decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with RabbitMQ for message brokering.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes for orchestration and deployment.
• Experience working in a microservices architecture.
