We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to drive the development of our innovative AI

platform on Azure. This role will focus on designing, building, and maintaining complex agentic

systems, including our existing RAG-based systems and the upcoming Graph RAG and

orchestration modules. You will leverage Python, the Lang Chain library, and Azure cloud services to deliver robust backend services that empower our client solutions.

SCOPE OF WORK

• Agentic System Development:
• Architect and implement backend modules that support agent-based functionalities.
• Develop and enhance our retrieval augmented generation (RAG) system.
• Build out Graph RAG systems and orchestration functionalities.
• Develop orchestration agents
• Technical Leadership:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and refine backend solutions.
• Provide technical guidance on best practices for Python development and integration of the Lang Chain library.
• Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps:
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain backend services on the Azure platform.
• Implement scalable microservices architecture, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with offshore team members in an agile development environment.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and design sessions.
• Quality & Documentation:
• Write clear, maintainable code and comprehensive documentation.
• Develop and enforce engineering standards and procedures.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Demonstrated AI application development or Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in backend development with Python.
• Proven expertise in building large-scale, cloud-native systems on Azure.
• Demonstrated experience with retrieval augmented generation (RAG) architectures and Graph RAG.
• Experience with MCM a plus
• Experience with GenAI capabilities in Databricks is a huge plus.
• Proficiency with the Lang Chain library and agent orchestration patterns.
• Experience in building microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with remote/offshore teams.
• Prior exposure to agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with other Azure data services (e.g., Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Blob..etc).
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams and understand business requirements.
• Certifications in Azure Data Engineering or related fields.
• Experience with machine learning and data science projects (huge plus).
