What’s the Role?

Designation: Backend Engineer (Software Engineer) As a Backend Developer at Vola Finance, you’ll be at the forefront of building and scaling the next generation of fintech products. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver seamless, high-performing features that delight our users.

What will you do?

● Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems using Golang.

● Build and optimize APIs to support web and mobile applications.

● Collaborate with product managers, front-end developers, and other team members to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

● Debug, troubleshoot, and improve the performance and reliability of backend systems.

● Implement data storage solutions and optimize database queries for performance and scalability.

● Follow best practices for code quality, security, and performance to minimize technical debt.

● Stay updated on emerging backend technologies and contribute ideas for improving our tech stack.

What are we looking for?

● Experience: 2–3 years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer or in a similar role.

● Backend Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Nodejs, including designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.

● Database Skills: Proficiency with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

● Performance Optimization: Knowledge of best practices for optimizing backend services for performance and scalability.

● Testing and Debugging: Experience with automated testing frameworks and debugging tools.

● Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Good to have:

● Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

● Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.

● Experience with message brokers or streaming platforms like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar.

● Hands-on experience with caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis, Memcached).

● A GitHub portfolio or side projects showcasing your backend expertise.

● Exposure to modern software development methodologies like Agile or Scrum.
