Senior DevOps engineer position - freelance

For a client active within aviation I am currently looking for an experienced Azure DevOps engineer for a Database competence centre. I am looking for a candidate with extensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure with an emphasis on Azure and experience with infra-as-code (Terraform) and a background in Database service centres.

This position sits within the Database Competence centre. The emphasis is on Database related activities in the overall context of the client's Cloud engineering activities.

You are / have the following skills:

• a Teamplayer
• Great skills and situational awareness in the knowledge transfer context
• Focused on Engineering and task execution in the Cloud context.

Language skills:

• Excellent understanding of the English language, both verbally and in writing is a necessity
• Understanding of the French language is a preference
• Understanding of the Dutch language is a nice-to-have

Experience needed:

• Vision and knowledge in the field of Cloud, being able to take the lead in design and architecture choices
• Extensive knowledge of
  • 'infra-as-code' tools used: Terraform
  • CI/CD skills: GitHub actions & Ansible
  • and ability to create/maintain/update scripts using these tools

• Extensive knowledge of Cloud infrastructures with an emphasis on Azure. And GCP as an additional preference (fully Cloud agnostic is even better)
• Knowledge of the following Database Services used in the client's context is a very strong 'plus': PostgreSQL Flexible, Oracle Exadata, CosmosDB, CloudSQL, MongoDB Atlas

Practical:

• Hybrid working in the Schiphol Area, at least 50% onsite
• 36- 40 hours per week
