Azure cloud engineer
Department : Infrastructure Service AI/AOM (BP15091)
We are looking for a Cloud Engineer, who at an administrative level, would:
- Strong understanding of cloud computing and hands-on experience of managing and maintaining workloads on Azure.
- Interest for Microsoft technologies, Azure cloud and will to constantly grow, learn and enhancing the skills in this area
- Handling Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines.
- Deploying Azure VMs (Windows Server and Linux) in a highly available environment.
- Design virtual networks to support workloads with the highest security and performance.
- Configure and manage MLP’s Virtual Network in Azure, establish our core services in the VNET, enable Azure to serve as a part of MLP’s network.
- Drive Identity and access and configuration management, and monitoring strategy for Azure.
- Establish and implement monitoring and management infrastructure for both availability and performance management What you will do
- Manage & maintain the services delivered hosted on cloud & Good understanding of Azure Infrastructure services and their limitations.
- Work closely with the teams implementing the program, providing service input but also and coaching them to move to Agile practices.
- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design.
- Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.
- Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures.
- Create technical artifacts and be the first point of contact in responding to production issues and conducting any technical analysis to arrive at solutions.
- Strong understanding of the advantages and limitations of Azure Active Directory
- Strong experience in Azure platform Services, understanding of their capabilities and limitations, and being the ability to architect and deliver solutions leveraging various platform services.

What you will do:
- Manage & maintain the services delivered hosted on the cloud a good understanding of Azure Infrastructure services and their limitations.
- Work closely with the development and cross-functional teams implementing the program, providing service input and coaching them to adopt Agile practices.
- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design.

- Implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies for critical workloads
- Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and implement proper governance controls
- Configure and maintain Azure networking services (VNets, NSGs, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, etc.)
- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and business continuity solutions
- Implement security best practices following Microsoft's Well-Architected Framework
- Configure Azure Active Directory, role-based access control, and identity managementSet up security monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Security Center/Defender for Cloud
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational security policies
- Monitor and optimize cloud spending across subscriptions
- Implement resource tagging and cost allocation strategies
- Identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining performance
- Generate and present regular cost analysis reports to management
- Strong knowledge of Azure compute, storage, networking, and security services
- Experience with infrastructure as code (ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform)
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other scripting languages
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, routing protocols)
- Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under challenging situation

Education level BE/BTECH/MCA
Experience: 6- 10 + years
Language: English
Specific skills: Cloud native skill
Personal characteristics: Certifications / Licenses: Azure Cloud system admin and Solution certification
