Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Solution Architect to join our team in Washington, DC. This role will focus on the design, planning, implementation, and ongoing support of Azure PaaS and IaaS environments. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of Microsoft Azure technologies and a proven track record of leading enterprise cloud architecture initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect Microsoft Azure Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Azure, supporting architectural design and deliverables.
• Gather business and technical requirements to deliver tailored Azure solutions.
• Utilize a deep understanding of Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Storage, Backup, Application Gateway, Azure Files, Blob Storage, Data Lake Store, Azure AD, and Azure SQL.
• Lead the development of proof-of-concept solutions for public and hybrid cloud deployments, demonstrating value to stakeholders.
• Communicate complex architectural concepts effectively across various audiences.
• Provide clear recommendations by evaluating architectural alternatives and identifying trade-offs.
• Proactively anticipate future architectural changes and guide the organization through successful transitions.
• Develop optimized, cloud-native reference architectures showcasing scalability, fault tolerance, and cloud best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues, balancing risk and business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Information Technology.
• Azure Architect Expert certification preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years’ hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing Azure environments in large-scale enterprise settings.
• Deep expertise in virtual application delivery and infrastructure management.
• Proficient in building and deploying applications on Linux, UNIX, and Windows platforms.
• Skilled in maintaining documentation and managing configuration changes across environments.
• Strong knowledge of industry-standard system architecture principles and management tools.
