Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated AWS Platform Operations Engineer to support, optimize, and enhance AWS cloud operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AWS fundamentals, cloud service integrations, ITIL-based service delivery, and Agile/DevOps methodologies. This role will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, automation, monitoring, and continuous improvements in AWS platform services.

Key Responsibilities

• AWS Platform Operations & Support: Maintain and optimize AWS platform services, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
• Agile & DevOps Practices: Operate in a fast-paced Agile environment, delivering features iteratively and automating operational tasks.
• Cloud Service Integration: Integrate AWS federated landing zones and platform services with ServiceNow for ITSM automation.
• Monitoring & Observability: Implement best practices using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Splunk, and AWS Distro for OpenTelemetry (ADOT) to enhance platform visibility.
• Operations as Code: Leverage automation tools to manage AWS operations, including policy enforcement, resource provisioning, and compliance tracking.
• Patch Management: Implement and maintain AWS patch management strategies for security, compliance, and performance optimization.
• Operational Metrics & Dashboards: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and set up dashboards for real-time monitoring and reporting.
• Incident & Change Management: Follow ITIL-based service delivery best practices to manage incidents, changes, and problem resolutions efficiently.
  
  

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud operations and support.
• Strong knowledge of AWS core services, networking, security, and automation.
• Understanding of Agile/DevOps methodologies with experience working in iterative delivery models.
• Experience integrating AWS services with ServiceNow for ITSM automation.
• Hands-on expertise in AWS monitoring tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ADOT, Splunk) for observability and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and experience in cloud operations, service management, and compliance.
• Experience with AWS patch management, automation, and governance frameworks.
• Strong ability to define and manage operational metrics, SLAs, and dashboards for cloud monitoring.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools for cloud operations (Terraform, Python, AWS CLI, CloudFormation).
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certifications (AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS DevOps Engineer, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with policy-as-code frameworks and compliance enforcement in AWS.
